This gas turbine has a compressor with 17 compression stages. The air is introduced at a temperature of 15°C and a pressure of 1bar, while it is extracted at a temperature of 400°C and a pressure of 15bar. At each stage the pressure increases. 

The rotating vanes of the gas turbine compressor increase the speed of the air and therefore its kinetic energy.
